What is the Robotics Teams about?
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology)
Mentors and West Seattle, Franklin, and Cleveland High School students
will design and build a robot according to the FIRST competition
specifications. The FIRST robotic competition is held in

a specific playing field, avoid opposing robots, and perform specific
tasks. During the robot-building phase all teams are only allowed
6 weeks (Jan., Feb. 2004) to build the robot. The specific, task
and details are closely guarded by FIRST and revealed to
the teams at the competition kickoff. |
